Learn to ski, snowboard, race and ski jump all in one place. The Four Lake snow sports school offers lessons for those age 5 and up. The terrain park offers challenging features for an exciting ride, including boxes, rail and corrugate pipes. There are also regular events such as Midnight Madness and the annual Winter Carnival.

The 130-year-old forest is home to Mount Hoy, a prime spot for a winter adrenaline rush. The hill is open for snow tubing when there is at least three inches of snow. Visitors can rent district inner tubes on weekends and school holidays. The area also allows sledding and dogsledding. ˜

This Bartlett Park District facility has winter sports for every age. Try downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing or just relax in the lodge. The hill includes seven runs, six rope tows, a chairlift and a tubing hill. They also offer private and group lessons with specially trained ski and snowboard instructors.

Looking for a great sledding hill? Look no further than Swallow Cliff Woods. The Cook County forest preserve is known for its steep hill, the perfect spot for sledders looking for a thrill. The hill is equipped with lighting and limestone steps that are cleared and salted.
